We have an exciting opportunity to join the team as an Animal keeper. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the wellbeing and welfare of animals under your care. You will be responsible for providing the daily care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and monitoring the health and behavior of our animals.
This position requires individuals who are passionate about animals, have a strong work ethic, and possess excellent attention to detail.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is capable of working independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible and knowledgeable about the overall animal management sector and have an enthusiastic approach to animal welfare.
Reporting to our Education and Animal Welfare Officer, responsibilities also include the ordering supplies, general maintenance, and record keeping on the wellbeing and welfare of our animals. You will be required to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for the well-being of animals and oneself.
**Applicants should be educated to at least a level 3 in an animal related subject, and a degree in an animal related subject would be advantageous**
Required skillset:
- Prior experience working with animals
- Familiarity with proper animal handling and restraint techniques.
- Basic knowledge of animal health and first aid.
- The ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects and being on your feet for extended periods.

Hours: 36 hours per week. Weekends & Bank Holidays included.
Contract: Fixed term contract available (February 2026 – November 2026).
Salary: £12.55 per hour
